You can reach Prayagraj Kumbh Mela site by road, rail or by air. The city is well connected with major national and state highways and the distances from major metros include – Delhi (582 km), Mumbai (1162 km), Kolkata (732 km). Prayagraj (Allahabad) is a major railway junction and has multiple trains reaching from various parts of the country. Indian railways also run special trains for the devotees for the mela duration.

As far as air connectivity is concerned, Prayagraj (Allahabad) has a domestic air terminal which becomes highly operational during the Kumbh, providing links to several major cities of India. Other nearest airports include the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi (150 km) and the Lucknow Airport (200 km).
